What is your attachment style?
It’s your default way of handling closeness. Researchers place people on two dimensions: anxiety, meaning how much you worry about rejection, and avoidance, meaning how uncomfortable closeness makes you. Low on both is secure. High anxiety is anxious. High avoidance is avoidant. High on both is fearful.
The idea goes back to classic work showing that romantic love can be understood as an attachment process, with adults falling into styles that mirror those seen in infants and that shape how they experience love.

Why do you chase some women and freeze with others?
Often it’s your style meeting hers. Anxious men tend to feel the strongest pull toward women who are hard to read, and mistake that uncertainty for chemistry. Avoidant men may lose interest just as a woman becomes available. Knowing your pattern lets you notice it in the moment.
If you’re anxious, the clearest warning sign is a hot-and-cold woman who leaves you checking your phone. The Does She Like Me quiz helps you read her pattern instead of your nerves.
Can you change your attachment style?
Yes, slowly. A meta-analysis found that attachment security is only moderately stable across the first 19 years of life, which leaves room for change. And researchers have described how relationships can build security: situations that boost personal confidence tend to reduce anxiety, while positive experiences of depending on someone tend to reduce avoidance.

What should you do with your result?
Pick one small behavior to practice. If you’re anxious, wait before double-texting and build a full life outside her. If you’re avoidant, share one real feeling a week. If you’re both, go slower and consider talking to a therapist.
The situationship vs relationship quiz helps you see where things stand, and the Situation Finder has the first move when she runs hot and cold.
Questions men ask
What are the four attachment styles?
Secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful (anxious and avoidant at once). Researchers usually describe them as combinations of two dimensions: worry about rejection and discomfort with closeness.
Can your attachment style change?
Yes. It’s fairly stable, but not fixed. Steady relationships, deliberate practice and therapy can all move people toward security over time.
Am I emotionally unavailable if I’m avoidant?
Not necessarily, but you may come across that way. Avoidant people often care deeply but get uncomfortable when closeness grows, and pull back without meaning to.
Is this quiz a diagnosis?
No. It’s a self-reflection tool built on the research model. For a deeper look, especially if your relationships keep hurting you, talk to a therapist.
