Good morning and goodnight texts

Good morning! Hope today is kinder to you than Monday was.
Morning. Fair warning: I’m still thinking about that dessert. And you.
Good morning. I walked past the café from Saturday and smiled.
A good morning text works because it shows she’s on your mind, not because of the wording. Send it when you mean it, not on a schedule. If she rarely replies, keep it occasional.

What makes a good morning text work?
It shows she was on your mind, about something real in her day. “Good luck with the presentation, you’ve got this” beats a poem, because it proves you listened. Short and specific beats long and generic.
Small moments like this add up. In John Gottman’s study of newlyweds, couples still married six years later turned toward each other’s bids for attention 86% of the time, against 33% for those who divorced. A good morning text is a bid. So is her reply.

What should you say?
Pick one of three things: something you’re looking forward to, something about her day, or thanks for something specific. The tool sorts lines by stage so the tone fits.
Thanks lands better than you expect. In three experiments, people who wrote notes of appreciation underestimated how happy the recipient would feel and overestimated how awkward it would be. “Thank you for last night, I needed that talk” is a strong good morning text.
How often should you send them?
When you mean it, not on a schedule. A text that arrives at 7:02 every day turns into a chore for both of you. More messages don’t mean more closeness: in one study of young couples, men who texted more often reported lower satisfaction.

What about goodnight texts?
Same rule: brief, warm, specific. Close the day with a line about what you enjoyed or what you’re looking forward to. In long distance, a goodnight text can carry more weight, because it’s often the last contact of the day. Pair it with a regular call where you can; voices build closeness that typed messages can’t.

Questions men ask
Should I text her good morning every day?
Not as a rule. Daily texts can turn into a routine she feels obliged to answer. Send one when you’re thinking of her, especially before something big in her day.
Is it too early to send good morning texts?
After a date or two, an occasional one is fine. Before you’ve met, keep it light and tie it to something she told you, or skip it.
What do I do if she doesn’t reply to good morning texts?
Stop sending them for a while and see whether she reaches out. If she stays quiet across other messages too, read that as low interest.
Are long good morning paragraphs romantic?
Occasionally, in a committed relationship. Day to day, one or two specific lines land better than a paragraph.
