The Does She Love Me quiz
Ten questions about the last few months together. Answer for how things usually are, not for your best weekend or your worst fight.
When you share something small, a funny story or a bad moment at work, what does she do?
Wondering if she still loves you? This 10-question quiz reads the everyday habits research links to love and commitment, then tells you what to do next.

What does love look like day to day?
It looks like turning toward you in small moments, far more than saying the words. Love shows up when she engages with your story about work, checks in when you’re sick, and makes plans that assume you’ll still be there next year.
Researchers have measured this. In John Gottman’s study of newlyweds followed for six years, couples who stayed married turned toward each other’s bids for attention 86% of the time; couples who divorced averaged 33%. A “bid” is any small reach for connection: a comment, a joke, a sigh.

Which signs matter most?
The ones that cost her something. Showing up when you need her, repairing after an argument and talking about a shared future all take effort, which is why the quiz weights them most.
- Investment. A meta-analysis of 52 studies and more than 11,000 people found that satisfaction, investment and a lack of appealing alternatives together explained nearly two-thirds of how committed people were, and that commitment predicted whether couples broke up.
- Repair. Couples fight. What matters is whether someone comes back to fix it.
- Warmth in public. How she talks about you to friends says a lot about how she feels when you’re not there.
The biggest warning sign runs the other way. According to the Gottman Institute, contempt is the single greatest predictor of divorce: eye-rolling, mockery, talking down. That’s why it costs the most points.
What if she says she loves you but acts distant?
Trust the pattern of the last few months over any single moment, then ask her directly. A stressful season can make anyone distant; a slow, steady withdrawal with no explanation is different and deserves a real conversation.
Look at the trend, not the day. If you’ve started to suspect something worse, the Is she cheating? checklist helps you weigh it fairly. If things were close in spring and have cooled every month since, that’s worth naming. If she’s cold one evening and warm the next, it’s probably just life.

How do you bring it up without making it worse?
Start soft, describe what you’ve noticed, and ask about her, not about you. “I miss us, what’s been going on for you?” invites an answer. “Why don’t you love me anymore?” invites a defense.
Then listen without arguing. Thinking longer term? Is she the one? looks at what predicts lasting couples. If you’re still dating rather than in a relationship, the Does She Like Me quiz is the better fit, and the situationship vs relationship quiz tells you which one you’re in. Small daily gestures are bids too; the good morning text generator has easy ones. If the spark itself feels gone, the Situation Finder has the first move, and more guides live under reading her signals.
Questions men ask
She says she loves me but acts distant. Which do I believe?
The pattern of the last few months. Words matter, but distance that lasts weeks is information too. Don’t pick one; describe what you’ve noticed and ask her directly what’s going on.
Is it normal for love to feel less intense after a while?
Yes. The early rush settles in almost every relationship. What predicts whether it lasts is whether you keep turning toward each other in small moments, not whether the fireworks stay the same.
Should I just ask her if she still loves me?
Ask about the relationship rather than for reassurance. “I miss how close we were. What’s been going on for you?” starts a real conversation; “Do you still love me?” usually gets a quick yes and no information.
Could she just be stressed, not falling out of love?
Often, yes. Stress makes everyone less responsive. The difference is whether she still turns toward you when you reach out and whether things improve once the pressure eases.
